RCM Department Overview: The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) department helps doctors get paid for their services. From clearinghouse enrollments to patient accounts, to insurance claims, our RCM team members help practices grow and succeed financially.

Your Career Opportunity:

As a Full-Service RCM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire revenue cycle process for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of patient billing, claims processing, payment posting, and revenue optimization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RCM practices, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for improving financial performance in the healthcare industry.
 

Areas of Accountability:

  • Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, insurance verification, billing, coding, claims submission, payment posting, and collections.
  • Analyze and resolve billing and claims issues to minimize denials and maximize reimbursement.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and payer requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to streamline workflows and enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure optimal revenue cycle management.
  • Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on RCM processes and software.
Competencies for Success :
  • 2+ years prior experience in Revenue Cycle Management or customer service environment; hospital patient account billing with experience or knowledge of 3rd party reimbursements from insurance companies and government payers is a plus. 
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships. 
  • Accountability and personal organization are essential. 
  • Excellent ability to manage time.  
  • Proven experience in revenue cycle management, account management, or client success roles within the healthcare industry.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and resolve client issues effectively.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships. 
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills.  
  • Extensive knowledge of medical billing/coding, front-office, physician practice management and healthcare business processes.  
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.  
  • Strong understanding of various insurance carriers, including Medicare, private HMOs, and PPOs.  
  • Professional demeanor required.  
At PracticeTek, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $33050-$68650 for this position.
